Nope, I didn't go there. Well, that was my original plan. :-D I was really hesitant of going since I quite know it'll be just the same as last year. Moreover, I was disappointed since the event this year wasn't as good as last year's. Actually, the other year was much better. And the year before that is even greater than the other year. I've attended this event for years already and the only thing that improved were the balloons. I love the balloons this year. More colorful and they're a lot! Congrats to the balloon flyers for a successful showdown! What everybody missed though were the UK para gliders, there were less RC flyers, less planes, less choppers, less shows, less beers, less excitement overall. The gap between shows takes 15 to 20 minutes. Quite boring. I hope the organizers will read this to hear my side. Their main theme is a whole weekend of everything that flies. I hope they'll show more latest choppers and planes doing a showdown next year. And I feel I'll participate a lot next year. I don't know. I just feel it. ;-)
By the way, the reasons I went to the event this year were my family and friends. I enjoyed the company of my friends on day 2 and the food. Day 4, I enjoyed the time with my family and... yes, the food also. :-D My visit was entirely a photo-op for my family and some with my friends. I didn't have the mood to shoot but I was able to manage some good shots since as a hobbyist also, my conscience is telling me that I should get that one good shot. At least one good shot. So I said ok-ok. I was lucky to have these.

nice shots bro! we were there last sunday about 5 am. 1st time namin. sayang sana may pass kami to be able to shoot inside the balloon area. actually mae did all the shooting. taga dala lang ako ng gamit. ehehe! we need another cam...
Hehe thanks, dude! You don't need special passes to get great shots. I actually went outside the venue and into the hi-way to get a great vantage point with the sun. :-D But try getting a special pass next year so you'll experience being up-close with the balloons. :)
Now go get another camera! ;-)
